Jumia Megathon Conference started held on the 25th of June was a great success, the atmosphere was amazing and the overall ambience of excitement was top-notch. The event which took place at the MTN headquarters, Golden Plaza, Falomo, Ikoyi, Lagos saw a high number of invited guests. Jumia Marketing Department head Mr Johnathan started by introducing the C.E.O of Jumia Africa, he gave a speech on the growth of smartphones in Nigeria. According to Jumia Africa C.E.O, 85% of Nigerians use mobile phone (smartphones) than rest of other African countries. He also mention that Nigeria has the highest internet users than Germany, France, and United Kingdom through the use of smartphones. Through smartphones Entrepreneurship has really expand in Nigeria. Examples of illustration he use was a fish seller (woman) that use her smartphone to advertise various types of fishes she sells through the internet via her smartphone.
MTN Marketing Department head, Mr Richard Iweanoge, explained the various packages MTN has in stores for the Jumia Mobile week Megathon.

June 1st, Innjoo will release their Innjoo Fire for sale. The Innjoo fire is a 5 inch display android KitKat 4.4.2 smartphone with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 8 mega pixel back camera, 5.0 mega pixel front camera and a 2500mAh battery. On June 2nd, Infinix Hot Note would be on sold for a small fee. For those that don't know, we already covered Infinix Hot Note in detailed in this post and detailed video review here. Tecno Y5 is a 5 inch screen smartphone running Android 4.4.2 with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory and loud high quality speaker.
