Download Android 4.4 Stock Apps On Your Phone Now
Finally, Google have taken the wraps off Android KitKat 4.4 along side the unveiling of Nexus 5.
Whenever a new operating system gets released, hackers, coders and programmers start tinkering with the OS in order to extract the juice out of it.
In the case of Android KitKat 4.4, as its often the case with other Android OS, the stock apps like Calendar, Camera, Clock, Email, Gallery, Hangouts, Keyboard were extracted and repackaged in its apk format so that it's easily installed.
What you get after installation is the same stock apps that came with nexus 5 however you need to be careful to do a backup as some of the stock apps would replace do old one and may still not work.

Since, Android 4.4 KitKat is the very new and supports only few devices, there is no guarantee that this will work on your Jelly Bean smartphone.

Also, if you don't know how to install the apks in the downloaded file, follow this procedures.
1. The downloaded file is in zip format and you need to extract into a folder using win zip or any zip extractor you prefer.
2. Copy extracted apk files to your SD card or phone memory.
3. Go to Settings, Security and make sure installation of apps from unknown sources is enabled.
4. Using File Explorer navigate to the folder you copied your apk files and click on the files for installation.
Installing Google Home (for the most occurrence, its not working well; it force close, so you may skip this)
5. To install the new Google Home, install the Prebuiltgmscore apk first, then velvet.apk and finally GoogleHome.apk.
6. Press Home button to go back to your Home screen and select the new Google Home.
7. Enable Google Now by touching and holding an empty Home screen and tap on the settings icon.
8. Tap on the toggle button and say 'OK Google' and you are good to go.
